VET courses are practical, industry-focused programs designed to help you build job-ready skills and knowledge — whether you're looking to enter the workforce, return after a break, change careers, or upskill in your current role.VET is competency-based, which means you're assessed on whether you can demonstrate the required skills and knowledge to the standard of the unit, rather than receiving a traditional mark or grade. Depending on the course, assessment may include written questions, short quizzes, case studies, projects, workplace or simulated tasks, observations, and/or oral questioning.

You'll be asked to provide relevant evidence (e.g., resume, role descriptions, work samples, third-party reports, certificates), and a qualified assessor will review it. RPL outcomes depend on the evidence provided and the unit requirements.
